WOW Air To Expand Its BWI Marshall Flight Schedule

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ)--The low-fare international airline WOW air, who has plans to start service with Baltimore/Washington International, announced they will now be expanding their flight schedule.

Officials say WOW air will operate service between BWI Marshall and Iceland, with connections available to other European markets.

The budget-friendly airline now plans to begin its BWI Marshall service starting on May 8—about a month earlier than its original schedule. WOW air will operate five days per week from BWI.

"This is great news for our travelers that WOW air has already announced plans to grow its low- fare international service," said Paul J. Wiedefeld, Chief Executive Officer for BWI Marshall Airport. "We continue working to enhance air service opportunities for our customers."

The airline is an Icelandic low-far carrier founded in 2011.
