BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Marylanders are bracing for what will likely become accumulating snowfall.
Meteorologist Chelsea Ingram reports a winter storm watch has been issued from Sunday evening until Monday evening. A winter storm warning and winter weather advisory are also in effect, depending on which county you live in.
Here's what to expect with our fast approaching storm-system. It will come in two waves:
The first, a clipper system, will impact us Sunday night through Monday, bringing 2-4 inches of snowfall. A winter weather advisory is in effect for these areas.
The second will arrive late Monday through Tuesday as the area of low pressure rapidly redevelops off the coast.
This redevelopment will bring additional snowfall, primarily to areas east of I-95, and may significantly increase snowfall totals during this time frame. A winter storm watch is in effect for these areas.
For Baltimore, an additional 3-5 inches of snow accumulation is likely.
