Report: Warrant Issued For Ravens' FS Will Hill's Arrest

BALTIMORE (WJZ) --Another Baltimore Raven in trouble with the law.

Authorities in New Jersey have issued an arrest warrant for Baltimore Ravens free safety Will Hill for failure to pay $16,588.18 in back child support. This just days after Terrence Cody was released after reports surfaced of alleged animal abuse.

According to WJZ media partner The Baltimore Sun, although Hudson County police officials aren't actively seeking Hill, if he were pulled over by police, he would be arrested.

Hill was arrested in 2013 for same issue when he was playing for the New York Giants. His most recent off-field issues included a six-game suspension last season for testing positive for marijuana. He has been suspended for a total of 14 games in 3 seasons for testing positive for banned substances.

Ravens insider Aaron Wilson is reporting that Hill was aware of the child support issues, but was unaware of the arrest warrant.

Hill is currently a restricted free-agent and the Ravens have yet to comment on whether or not this most recent incident will effect whether or not the Ravens retain his contract.

Ravens players were told they are under a stricter code of conduct after past issues affecting the team.

"Everyone's going to be under a different type of scrutiny from here on out, and that's a good thing," Head Coach John Harbaugh said in the press conference recently." Understand that it's real, it's serious and they need to be aware of that."

Hill has been suspended for a total of 14 games in 3 seasons for testing positive for banned substances, costing him $400,000 in salary.
