Twitter Responds To Woodbury Eye Poke

Iowa Hawkeye's forward Adam Woodbury poked Melo Trimble in the eye. Whether it was malicious or not, it has become a trend.

He did it twice in a game against Wisconsin in January:

Then he did it again in the game Sunday vs. Maryland and was T'd up after officials checked the tape.

His coach, Fran McCaffery, didn't think talking about it was worth while:

In fact, when Des Moines NBC affliliate WHO13's Michael Admire asked how this keeps happening, Fran responded after huffing and puffing a moment, "Next question. Ask an intelligent question." Why is that not an intelligent question, coach? "Because I said so." That's nice.

I'm guessing not many people, including Terps head coach Mark Turgeon, were satisfied with that answer and nor should they be.

Then people just started having fun with it.

The moral of the story is you can only give the benefit of the doubt so many times before it just begins to look like A. you don't know how to play defense or B. you're just a jerk.
