Warming Centers Available in Anne Arundel Co.
MILLERSVILLE, Md. (WJZ)—Anne Arundel County Emergency officials have announced the opening of multiple warming centers in response to extreme cold temperatures for Friday night.
Officials say warming centers have water and restroom facilities, however medical care is not available. Pets are not allowed in warming centers, but accommodations will be made to service animals.
The decision to open the warming centers will be made day-to-day based on the advisories issued by the the National Weather Service.
Below is a list of OVERNIGHT warming centers for Friday night:
- Northern District, 939 Hammonds Lane, Baltimore
- Eastern District, 3700 Mountain Road, Pasadena
- Western District, 8273 Telegraph Road, Odenton
- Southern District, 35 Stepneys Lane, Edgewater
Anne Arundel County Public Libraries will be available until their normal closing time of 5:00 p.m.
