BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ)—A man wanted for attempted murder has died in police custody following a brief foot pursuit on Saturday afternoon.
The incident started in the 4700 block of York Road in Baltimore, when police say they observed a man matching the description of a suspect wanted for attempted murder. Once the suspect arrived at the Northern District police say he advised authorities he was having difficulty breathing due to a preexisting condition and needed medical condition.Police say an officer performed lifesaving efforts while waiting for EMTs to arrive. Investigators are working to confirm the man’s identity and his exact cause of death following a medical examiner’s investigation.
