SAVAGE, Md. (WJZ) — A prominent businessman busted. An owner of the Rams Head Group was accused of secretly videotaping women inside the bathroom of one of his many restaurants. Now police are looking into whether any other customers were victimized.

Meghan McCorkell has more on the investigation.

Kyle Muehlhauser is the president of the Rams Head Group, which operates the Rams Head at Power Plant. But it’s his alleged actions at another venue that has him facing charges.

Inside Rams Head Tavern in Savage Mill, police say surveillance footage caught 37-year-old Kyle Muehlhauser setting up a camera in a women’s bathroom.

“It’s disgusting. I really don’t have words for it,” said one.

“You know, something like that is just incredibly disturbing,” said another.

Police launched an investigation in May after a customer tipped them off. That woman says she was inside the restroom when a digital video camera fell on the floor right next to her. Videos of multiple women were on the tape.

“We have one video and the women in the video—there are six of them—are not identifiable,” said Sherry Llewellyn, Howard COunty Police.

Muehlhauser is the president of the Rams Head Group, which has operations in Savage, at Power Plant and Pier Six Pavilion, plus multiple locations in Annapolis, Maryland Live Casino and Stevensenville. The name brings in big musical acts, like Ed Sheeran, Hall and Oates and Iggy Azalea. First Lady Michelle Obama even attended a concert at the Annapolis venue last year.

In a statement, the Rams Head Group says, “Since the incident in May 2014, we have been focused on ensuring that all our facilities are safe and secure. No other locations or incidents are involved.”

But police aren’t so sure.

“We certainly think that it’s possible that this was not the only time that the suspect maybe committed this act,” Llewellyn said.

Law enforcement in other jurisdictions where there are Rams Head locations have been informed of Muehlhauser’s arrest.

Investigators say his DNA was found on the camera. A search warrant has been served on his home.

Muehlhauser was arrested from the Howard County Detention Center on $35,000 bond.
