911 Operator Who Told Teen Caller To "Stop Whining" Has Been Fired

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- An Anne Arundel County 911 operator who told a frightened girl to "stop whining" after her father was hit and killed along 295 is out of a job.

Fire officials say the unidentified dispatcher is no longer with the department.

A car hit 38-year-old Rick Warrick and his fiancee while they were changing a tire. She survived and his two children---who were in the car---were not hurt.

US Park police say they've found the car involved and a person of interest is being questioned.
