Behind The Scenes Of 'Chicago' The Musical

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A tale of sin, greed and all that jazz.

'Chicago' is the no. 1 longest running America musical in Broadway history -- and the national tour is now in Baltimore.

Linh Bui got a behind the scenes look, which included a makeover and dance lesson.

Set in 1920's Chicago, two fame-hungry women find themselves on death row for murder -- and I got to step into their shoes.

Only WJZ takes you behind the scenes of 'Chicago' as I get into character as Velma.

Dramatic false lashes, bright red lips and the wig really completes the transformation.

Then came the hard part -- learning the choreography to the opening number.

Cast member Adam Pellegrine calls the dance numbers "deceptively simple."

"Everything is so precise -- and everything is thought of," Pellegrine said. "You're not just dancing with your legs and your arms. You're dancing with your fingers and your eyes."

I had trouble learning just a few moves.

But after quite a few run through -- thanks to Adam who's been with the show since 2007 -- in the end, I think I kinda got it.

Better leave it to the professionals -- they make it look so good.

"What people don't realize is they see all the sex appeal to it, but it's hysterical," Pellegrine said. "It's so funny and there's nothing better than a sexy woman in lingerie making you laugh."

Chicago is playing at the Hippodrome Theater through Sunday, March 8.

Linh Bui will have more behind the scenes at WJZ at 5 p.m.
