51 Days In Office Md. Gov. Faces Challenges Ahead

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ)-- 51 days. That's how long Governor Larry Hogan has been in office and already he's seen his fair share of challenges.

The governor he sits down with Political Reporter Pat Warren to talk about what he's doing going forward.

Two floors up Governor Hogan is finding his way through politics and personal life.

Larry Hogan, now 51 days into a 4-year term has made some life style changes.

Warren: "Do you travel, do you drive, do you miss driving your own car?"

"It's really strange not driving…we don't travel much, we are kind of homebodies," said Hogan.

Warren: "What do you think one of the most surprising things about state government have been for you since you were elected?"

"It's a much bigger responsibility of course because the decisions we're involved in are affecting peoples lives more," said the governor.

"I think most of Marylanders are frustrated at politics and politicians. They are kind of mad at republicans and democrats and they wish people would stop fighting and get things done."

And he's still looking for those compromises.

"It's not my way or the highway. My career has been how do we get this person and this person to agree and meet in the middle," Hogan said.
