Campus Beyond Excited As Terps Head To Final Four

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WJZ) -- Heading to the Final Four. The Terps are making a deep run in this year's March Madness tournament. After defeating Tennessee, the University of Maryland's women's basketball team will now take on U-Conn.

Marcus Washington has the excitement brewing on campus.

It is the talk of College Park. The Terps are heading to the Final Four. Fans are hoping they'll go all the way.

It was the Terps' shot and they conquered Tennessee to head to Tampa. On campus, the excitement is everywhere.

"I was like, yay!" said one student.

Students say now is the Terps' time to shine.

"Coach Friese specifically said this team has the it factor that she has seen in past teams that have gone all the way," said one student.

Holding nothing back and fighting for the NCAA championship.

It is the sixth time the women's team has made it to the Final Four.

Since Maryland defeated Tennessee, we're now awaiting a delivery of world-famous ribs. Monday, Governor Larry Hogan made a friendly wager with the governor of Tennessee and since the women won, the blue crabs stay here in Maryland.
