Orioles Zach Britton Teaming Up To Strike Out Cancer

Orioles closer Zach Britton is teaming up with Cubs relief pitcher Jason Motte's "Strike Out Cancer" initiative that features a player from each MLB team in an effort to raise funds and cancer awareness through the sale of T-shirts.

The "K Cancer" T-shirts are sold on 108stitches.com and proceeds go towards several charities, chosen by each participating player.

"'Let's Strike Out Cancer' was started by Major League pitcher, Jason Motte, to help people directly affected by the disease. He has since enlisted other players from all 30 teams to join the fight. You can too. With the purchase of any K Cancer tee, five dollars will go to the Jason Motte Foundation, and five dollars will go to another player's charity. Just pick your player, pick your size, and team up for a cure."

Zach was pictured wearing the shirt in a tweet earlier today:

In 2014, Nick Markakis represented the Baltimore Orioles in this MLB-wide effort.
