Boy what a warm day we’ve been enjoying so far! As of 4:30pm this afternoon, BWI Airport was checking in around 79°. At my house, my weather station was reading 84°! Could we ask for better weather on a Saturday? I think not! Unfortunately things will be changing on Sunday. Winds will be shifting out of the east and I always say that nothing good comes out of an east wind. For us, this mean more clouds and cooler temps. Highs on Sunday will be about 15-20 degrees cooler than today with an easterly breeze. A high impact storm system is expected to affect us Sunday night into Monday. This system will mainly be an overunning situation for our area bringing an extended period of rain to the region. Rainfall Sunday night into Monday AM will total between 1-2″ with the steadiest rain likely ending by daybreak on Monday. A cold front will then approach from the west and bring a few potentially strong t-storms Monday afternoon and evening.
