Joe Beninati Previews Capitals Vs Islanders Game Five Tonight
Joe Beninati is the play by play voice of the Washington Capitals on Comcast Sportsnet.
Joe joined Ed and Steve to talk about the Capitals vs Islanders first round series which is tied at 2-2.
Joe started off by talking about the Islanders players and fans complaining about Tom Wilson's big hit saying "they're looking for motivation and priming the pump, they're going to try to ride emotion tonight...will they become undisciplined? Will they be too amped up?" As for the Capitals becoming more physical and whether or not that helps them go further Joe said "I think over the course of a 7 game series the teams that are bigger and more physical tend to go farther." Joe also talked about Johnny Boychuk having success stopping Ovechkin for Islanders and why Boychuk has been successful. Joe finished by referencing hopes that the Islanders will take a lot of bad penalties and give the Caps a couple of power plays tonight to cash in some goals.
