NBA Playoffs Second Round Reaction

Tony Mejia of VegasInsider.com joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to give his thoughts on the second round of the NBA Playoffs. The Wizards were able to go up 1-0 in their series with the Atlanta Hawks, Tony believes that Washington should be able to take the second game on the Hawks home floor. "For the Wizards, tonight, it's gravy. John Wall is hooting to prove to himself that he can play through his injury, ditto with Bradley Beal, however they should be more cautious with Beal. But, their main objective tonight should be to maintain that defense that won them won them the game that second half. "

The Bulls were able to jump out to a 1-0 series lead over favorites to win the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tony believes with Chicago getting healthy they can hang with the Cavs. "I expected Chicago to win game one. It was such a tough turn around for them to face Tom Thibodeau and a defense that is finally whole and complete and healthy, for the first time all year, that has preparation time, when you, yourself (The Cavs) don't know what you're going to do with your rotation and otherwise and whatnot. They wanted to make LeBron James a jump shooter; he's always going to play basketball the correct way, so he was looking for someone else to get them going, and the only one that did was Kyrie Irving. "

The defending NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs were knocked out by the LA Clippers over the weekend. Tony gives his thoughts on how the Spurs could change during the off season.  "I think Manu Ginobili is close to saying goodbye to the NBA, he has nights where it looks like he shouldn't be out there anymore. And Craig Popovich has said that he is coming back, and he wants to bring it every night, like a superstar should. And I think Tim Duncan is going to come back because, well, he looks like he can, right?"
