Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to cover all the news surrounding Tom Brady and the New England Patriots along with other news in the NFL. Tom Brady was handed his punishment of a 4 game suspension with out pay earlier in the week, Ryan gave his thoughts on the punishment handed down by the commissioner.  “I figured it was going to be a 2 to 4 game suspension before the punishment was announced on Monday because that typically seems to be the punishment Goodell hands out. Now do I think that Brady should’ve been punished for taking taking air out of the football? No. No one before January even knew that it was an advantage and I’m still not convinced it is now.”

As of right now it looks like Tom Brady is gearing for a long fight against his suspension. Ryan doesn’t believe taking his case to court will benefit the Patriots quarterback. “If this ends up in court, Tom Brady is going to have to turn over his cellphone and that’s probably something that neither he nor his lawyers want to do, so I don’t think it will get that far. He’s going to have to appeal before tomorrow and I’m sure he’ll do that. At that point Roger Goodell can either hear the appeal himself, or pass it off to someone else and presumably he’ll pass it off to someone who is not in the pocket of the NFL but has the same feeling about this punishment going into this thing. We will have to see.”
