Sheriff: Man Sent Text Message To Friend After Killing Woman

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Investigators say a Maryland man who has been charged with shooting and killing a woman in front of his rural home sent a text message to a friend, confirming he had killed her.

The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown (http://bit.ly/1A52eDJ ) reports the Washington County Sheriff's Office says in court records that 28-year-old Shaun Frazier of Sharpsburg sent a text message to a friend Wednesday saying he was going to kill 24-year-old Lena Titus. Later that night, the friend received a text message that read, "I did it ... I killed her."

Titus was found dead that night in Frazier's driveway, and Frazier was arrested with a shotgun after a seven-hour search.

Court records indicate Frazier doesn't yet have an attorney. He is being held without bail and has a preliminary hearing set for June 11.
