Scott McGregor On The Brian Matusz Foreign Substance Situation

Scott McGregor is a former MLB player who played for the Orioles and is now helping Orioles players who go on injury rehab to Sarasota.

Scott joined Ed and Steve to talk about some of the injured Orioles he is working with.

Scott started off by talking about the Brian Matusz situation and if the balls really are so slick they need a substance saying "I've seen enough games in places to know the umpires rub the balls up and it's not always consistent...the consistency and the temperatures outside, every ball feels slick whether they are or not." Scott talked about whether or not the MLB should revisit that rule saying "yeah I think it is something that is going to get revisited, I don't think it was a big glaring thing." Scott also talked about how nowadays the balls are doctored much less than what they were in the past when umps didn't check the balls.
