WEATHER BLOG: More Humidity Ahead

Hi Everyone,

So what do you do during the show when you are not on the air? That is one of the questions I occasionally get from folks. Well....you're looking at it. Frankly I turn my brain off and let the worst news of the world fly over my head and hit the wall. I settle into some weather stats, and talk to you.

Here is my stat of the day.

We only have one official weather reporting station for the Baltimore area. That would be BWI-Marshall. (Yeah I  know there is a reporting station at the Maryland Science Center however the only one that counts "for the ages" is the airport.) But the reality is with very accurate car thermometers, and weather apps for phones, we have the temperature, (wherever we are), in real time. Yesterday my car thermometer hit 90 for the 4th time this month. This has been a very warm May. And today we may get there again. May.

Later on I think we will get the umbrella effect of more clouds in the area than yesterday. More clouds because of instability caused showers and thunder storms that are expected to move around the region figure from 4-9 PM. (Matter of fact we are already in a lsight risk" category for later on from the severe stroms folks at the NWS. National weatehr Service.)  It will still be plenty warm, and humid, with a forecast high of 86.

Tomorrow the forecast high is 88. SO yet another time this month an unofficial 90 could roll across out dashboards or phone screens. A warm May for sure.

Ok I need to run back to the set, I hear Lihn doing the Orioles-Astro's highlights from last night..time for what we call the "two shot." Back to the reality of the morning.
