Possibly Rabid Raccoon Spotted In Howard Co., Residents Say

COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) -- Residents have put officials on notice that there's a possibly rabid raccoon on the loose in the Allview neighborhood in Columbia.

The animal was spotted in the area of Patuxent Branch Train, the 10200 block of Wayover Way and the 6700 block of Flapjack Lane.

Officials are warning residents to call 911 if they spot a raccoon that is staggering or acting erratically, and to notify other neighbors in the area.
