Carl Davis On How He Is Getting Ready For Training Camp

Carl Davis is a defensive tackle from Iowa that the Ravens selected in the third round of the NFL Draft.

Carl joined Ken and Steve to talk about the upcoming Ravens training camp and staying in shape.

Carl started off by talking about his take on the NFL now that he has gone through a mini camp saying "the NFL is a fast game and it takes a lot of time and effort to really learn the playbook and apply it to the field...I went to a tough school where we played a physical game every week and that should prepare me well for the NFL."

As for how he is spending his days leading up to training camp saying "I've just been trying to stay in shape and keep my head in my playbook...typical day is get up, eat some breakfast, and go workout for a couple hours and make sure I'm eating clean, I spend about 2 hours working out and the same in my playbook."

Carl also talked about how he is still using his slide to the third round in the NFL draft as fuel to his competitive fire, though he is happy that he ended up with the Ravens with a great opportunity to be in this league. Finally Carl talked about his former coach Kirk Ferentz telling him about being in the Ravens organization, and trying to replace Haloti Ngata and be a piece in a championship puzzle for the Ravens.
