Brittany Ghiroli On What The Orioles Need To Do To Make The Playoffs

Brittany Ghiroli is the Orioles beat reporter for MLB.com.

Brittany joined Ed and Steve to talk about the Orioles returning from the All-Star break tonight.

Brittany was asked about what number of wins the Orioles must reach in order to have a shot at making the playoffs. She believes the orioles will need a strong second half in order to make accomplish that. "I think 88 is the bare minimum of wins they have to get."

Brittany is very encouraged by Manny Machado's recent performances during the All Star break and hopes he can continue his great play in the second half of the season. "He's fantastic, he's my early pick for Orioles MVP."

Ed and Steve asked Brittany about what trades Dan Duquette might make before the trade deadline. "I think Dan Duquette is gonna make a Dan Duquette move." Brittany does't believe the Orioles have the means to make a move for a marquee player, but a move for utility man Ben Zobrist of the Oakland Athletics could be a great fit for the club. "He can play everywhere... he's a Buck guy."
