Police: Handgun Recovered In A Baltimore Prisoner Holding Cell
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Baltimore Police say they have launched an investigation after a handgun was recovered in one of their holding cells.
Police say the discovery was made in one of their Eastern District prisoner holding cells.
"The safety of our officers and citizens is paramount. All of the circumstances surrounding this incident will be thoroughly examined to ensure that this does not happen again," said a spokesperson for the police department.
Authorities say if criminal or administrative charges are warranted they will be obtained accordingly.
