Brian Matusz Is Looking Forward To The Casey Cares 5k
Bob Haynie is joined by O's left hander Brian Matusz and Casey Baynes of The Casey Cares Foundation to talk about their annual 5k run/walk.
Founder and Executive Director, Casey Baynes talks about their event "The 5k is Saturday. It is an amazing experience. You actually get to finish in the field. So, where the guys are all snagging those balls, you're actually going to be down on the field getting the best selfies ever, all to help a critically ill child. We also have a one mile walk if you're not a runner. Come out, enjoy the day, lace up your sneakers, get your friends, family together, there's still time to register at caseycares.org"
O's Left Hander Brian Matusz is thrilled to be a part of Casey Cares, "I started a couple years back. I was looking to become more involved in the community and caught wind of Casey Cares. It's an unbelievable program she put together. I've been making visits to the hospital, visiting the kids and their families. Being able to see them and bring a T-shirt and make a visit, and just seeing the smiles on their faces. Not just the kids, but their parents as well. It really is special, and we're really excited about the race this weekend. It should be a lot of fun."
