The Orioles officially announced their final Trade Deadline move of the day. Relief pitcher Tommy Hunter was traded for Chicago Cubs OF Junior Lake.

Lake has been optioned to Triple-A Norfolk and RHP Mike Wright has been recalled from the Tides.

Lake, 25, has limited Major League exposure (193 games) but batted .125/.404/.472 (62-197) with seven homers and 31 RBI in 58 games with Triple-A Iowa this year. In the majors, Lake has hit .241/.283/.380 with 16 home runs and 46 RBI.

Tommy Hunter, 29, was 2-2 with a 3.63 ERA (44.22IP, 18ER) in 39 games out of the Orioles’ bullpen this season.

Mike Wright, 25, has been in just 6 Major League games, going 2-3 with a 5.16 ERA (29.2IP, 17ER). He’s having a great year for Norfolk with an 8-0 record and 2.41 ERA over 13 games. He was called up to start for the Orioles earlier this season on May 17 vs. the Angels where he tossed a gem, 7.1 scoreless innings.
