Police Investigating Fatal Shooting Of 18-Year-Old In Largo
LARGO, Md. (AP) -- The Prince George's County Police Department says it is investigating the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old in Largo.
Police say they were called Friday around 11:45 p.m. to the 11500 block of Bennington Drive for a shooting. When police arrived, they say they found Joseph Titus Abariko of Riverdale outside and suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Abariko was at a home on Bennington Drive to attend a party and that it appears the shooting may be connected to a fight that broke out outside the home. Police say detectives do not believe the shooting was a random act and that they are working to identify a motive and a possible suspect or suspects in the case.
