Jerry Coleman With The Latest From Ravens Training Camp

Jerry Coleman joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to give us the latest from Ravens Training Camp.

Steve Smith Sr. announced today that he will be retiring after his 15th NFL season. Jerry gave us some insight behind why Steve has decided to retire after this year. "He just wants to go home and be a father and get away from football. He's not chasing anything anymore, doesn't want to just hold on the rest of his career waiting for that Super Bowl. He wants to walk away as healthy as possible."

Jeremy asked Jerry if he thinks that Steve Smith's career is worthy of Hall of Fame consideration. "I think he's definitely in the conversation. He's been to 5 Pro Bowls with over 13,000 receiving yards...I don't think he'll be a first ballot Hall of Famer but you have to consider him."

Jerry later informed us with the latest injury information for the Ravens. "Lardarius Webb got burned for a touchdown pass by wide receiver Darren Waller then limped off the field with a hamstring type injury. No Breshad Perriman again today. That's nine straight practices. You would guess the guys that left today with injuries or didn't practice won't participate Thursday night against the Saints."
