Dave Spadaro Stops By To Break Down The Eagles

Dave Spadaro called into the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to share his observations and predictions of the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles defense struggled last year, so they've been looking to make some positive changes,  "Much improved, they were really bad last year against the pass, they gave up over 70 plays of 20+ yards in the passing game, rebuilt the secondary with Byron Maxwell and Walter Thurmond. It's a developing group with a really good front seven. It'll be an excellent match up, the Ravens offensive line and the power running game, against the Eagles front, because the front can get after it and play very physically."

The Eagles surprised fans with their trade for Sam Bradford. Dave Spadaro tries to tell us their reasoning, "Eagles rave about Sam Bradfords abilities. He hasn't stayed healthy in the NFL, but they think when he's on the field this offense can really get up and go. Whatever Chip Kelly does, spacing on the field, how he sets up plays, how he sequences things, the tempo is a big part of it, receivers are open all over the field they think with Bradford and a decent offensive line and a good group of weapons they'll be able to drop back throw the football, get it out quickly, set up the run game, and away they go."

The Eagles also acquired all-star running back Demarco Murray to replace their former all star running back, LeSean McCoy. Dave Spadaro had this to say "Demarco is expected to play for the first time tomorrow and its been interesting in Philadelphia because there are times when you're watching practice and Demarco is not lining up with the first team and you go 'What the heck is going on here?, 'Why is he not getting more reps?, 'We're used to seeing the number 1 back getting all of the reps.' but that's just not the way it's going to be, and I think they really want to keep Demarco fresh."

The Eagles face off against the Ravens in preseason action at the home of the Eagles, Lincoln Financial Field. Kick off scheduled at 7Pm ET.
