Lanham Woman Charged With Murder In Husband's Death
LANHAM, Md. (AP) -- A Lanham woman has been charged with murder after police say she intentionally ran over her husband with a sport-utility vehicle.
Prince George's County police say 37-year-old Araceli Alvarez-Mendoza was arguing with her husband in their home on Sunday afternoon. Police say her husband, 36-year-old Fernando Fragoso-Duana, left the home on foot.
Police say Alvarez-Mendoza followed her husband in the SUV and ran him over. He was pinned beneath the vehicle when police arrived. He died at the scene.
Police say Alvarez-Mendoza admitted her role in her husband's death. She was charged Monday with first-degree murder and is being held without bond. No attorney is listed for her in online court records.
