Maryland Homeowner Finds Explosive Device While Cleaning
FROSTBURG, Md. (AP) -- The State Fire Marshal's Office says a western Maryland homeowner found an explosive device while cleaning.
The Cumberland Times-News reports (http://bit.ly/1IJN5Vs ) that a fire marshal's deputy responded to the home on Main Street in Frostburg after the device was discovered Tuesday evening.
Officials say the Japanese Type 100 81 mm mortar round was removed from the home and rendered safe.
