Purple Pride On Full Display For Ravens Manic Monday

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The countdown is on! The start of the NFL season is right around the corner. With just six days before the Ravens' first game, fans can't wait.

And even though it was Labor Day, a lot of them joined Ron Matz early Monday morning for a special Ravens Manic Monday.

Before the sun came up, the Ravens faithful came to Fells Point. Purple Pride was on display for a Ravens Manic Monday.

Even for the smallest fan, football is in the air.

"I'm looking forward to the season. I think we're going to go to the Super Bowl this year, without a doubt. I'm really pumped up. I can't wait. We've got the team and we're ready," said Andy Iversen.

"It's a very exciting week. We have a lot of events planned for all our fans. On Wednesday, we have our Ravens 5K and Kids Fun Run," said Ravens cheerleader Serena. "You can still sign up for the event."

No one was more ready than Fan Man and the Bus Boys from Bel Air.

"It's always exciting. The big thing is with our bus; we have to pack it on Game Day and get everything in it. Getting dressed like this is pretty quick for me now. We come down 95 and get to the parking lot," he said. "Then it starts and it just gets wild."

The Ravens cheerleaders and our friend Poe can't wait.

"This is my second year; I'm just so excited. The fans will be super loud. I'm hoping we go to the Super Bowl this year," said Ravens cheerleader Jackie.

You can see the Ravens season opener Sunday at 4:25 p.m. as they take on the Denver Broncos.
