Man Arrested In Sex Assault

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ) -- A man has been arrested in a sex assault case.

According to police, the assault occurred on September 11 shortly after midnight. Police were called to the 300 block of Hospital drive. The victim told police the assault happened behind a shopping center.

She told police that she was walking in the area when a man approached her. They had a brief conversation and then he showed a weapon and sexually assaulted her. After, he left the area on a bicycle.

He was later arrested and identified as Steven Proctor.
