Designer Names For A Good Cause At The 'One Great Thing' Sale

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--Jewelry, shoes, handbags and big name designers. It's all part of the "One Great Thing" sale this weekend which benefits the House of Ruth Maryland.

WJZ's Ron Matz has more on how you can shop for a great cause.

From Chanel, to Prada and hundreds of pairs of shoes,this is the sale you've been waiting for.

"We have Armani, Burberry, Coach, Prada, every designer name you could imagine," said Terri Wurmser, Director of Development for the House of Ruth Md. "We have an enormous amount of beautiful sweaters and shoes and designer dresses, more this year than we've ever had at one great thing."

This year's sale at the Shops at Kenilworth will raise money for one of the nation's leading intimate partner violence centers.

"We know that one in four women is a victim of intimate partner violence. We provide services to those women, we have an emergency shelter, a legal center, counseling, whatever they need to get back on their feet to live a life free of fear," said Cheri Parlaman, House of Ruth Md.

Everything in the store is donated too!

"This sale would not be possible without the hundreds of women  who've donated not just lovingly worn but often new with tags items and our volunteers who have been so dedicated. We have a store full of treasures," Wurmser said.

Dozens and dozens of handbags and purses are part of the one great thing sale.

The "One Great Thing" sale is open to the public Friday through Sunday at the Shops at Kenilworth.
