HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says it’s investigating the death of a jail inmate found dead in his cell with a sheet tied around his neck.

Deputy First Class Carly Hose said Wednesday a correctional deputy found 44-year-old Franklin Corun of Hagerstown unresponsive on a bottom bunk bed at 6:35 p.m. Monday, about 30 minutes after he was seen alive during a routine check.
