Body Found In Ditch Along Road In Somerset County

EDEN, Md. (AP) -- State police say the body of a man who had suffered traumatic injuries was found in a ditch along a road in Somerset County.

The body was discovered shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday in Eden, a community south of Salisbury. Police say a person who'd been walking in the area found the body.

Police said in a statement that the body was clothed and had sustained "obvious trauma." It was taken to the Chief Medical Examiner's office in Baltimore for an autopsy. Homicide detectives are investigating.
