Ravens-Browns Recap With Tony Lombardi

Tony Lombardi with the Russell Street Report joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to recap the wild finish to the Ravens-Browns game on Monday night.

With a backup quarterback, three injured offensive lineman and a lack of talent at the receiver position; Tony talked about how well the running backs played, "Everyone on the Cleveland Browns defense knew the Ravens were going to try and run the ball. Buck Allen and Terrence West did a great job of getting it done despite all of the things against them. Not only that, I thought Buck ran in an inspired fashion because he got some yards after contact, particularly on that touchdown pass. I mean he made three guys miss to score that touchdown so I think he's a guy that will fit in nicely into this offense for years to come." Terrence West showed some burst as well against his former team but Tony has some concerns with the young back. "I think Terrence West could be a productive player too for the Ravens. I just hope that the Ravens and John Harbaugh can get his head in the game and focused on being a better player and not mouthing off to his former teammates."

A lack of talent presents unique obstacles for the Ravens but Tony Lombardi talked about the Ravens game-plan coming into Monday Night. "I think the game-plan from Trestman's perspective was to get the ball out quickly from Matt Schaub so he wouldn't have to worry about getting sacked with those three second string lineman in the game and the fact that they were limited on the outside. I think they wanted to just get the ball out quickly."
