NFL To Review Ravens Concussion Protocol After QB Matt Schaub Hit His Head Sunday

MIAMI, Fla. (WJZ) -- The NFL will look into the handling of the Ravens concussion protocol after a play involving quarterback Matt Schaub.

According to ESPN, Schaub banged his head on the turf during the second quarter of the Dolphins game Sunday, then clutched his head. He remained in the game.

"We will follow up as per our normal procedures," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told ESPN. "We review all protocols after games."

It's only two weeks after the league investigated the Rams for keeping quarterback Case Keenum in the game after he suffered a head injury in Baltimore.

Coach John Harbuagh said the Ravens followed the correct steps after Schaub's injury.

Schaub was asked about grabbing his helmet and he said he was just readjusting it.
