Police: Son Kills Mother, Then Himself In Lutherville Home

LUTHERVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- A man and woman found dead inside a Lutherville home were a mother and son who apparently died in a murder-suicide.

According to Baltimore County Police, officers were called out to the scene of the 100 block of Greenridge Road by neighbors who noticed mail had been piling up outside the home.

Officers found 78-year-old Carryl Jean Calvert and her 42-year-old son Keith Michael Calvert dead inside their home.

Detectives say Keith was his mother's sole caregiver and he had recently expressed frustrations over caring for his mother alone.

Both Keith and his mother died from gunshot wounds and police believe Keith shot his mother before turning the gun on himself.
