Toys For Tots Seeking Volunteers Before Christmas
BALTIMORE (WJZ)--For 68 years the Toys for Tots' program has distributed toys to families in need.
Now, as Mike Schuh reports, those who run the program here need more than presents.
Inside, nearly 30,000 toys fill the warehouse.
"Here the volunteers do everything. The toys are coming in left and right, we're getting ready to go out and pick up at least a thousand toys or more," said Scott, who has been volunteers for four years.
But Toys For Tots officials say they need more volunteers to help bag and deliver the presents.
"We couldn't even do it without them to be honest with you. So we're just grateful for that desire for communities and individuals to get out there and want to give back.
Meet Ricky Crowdy. He too is a return volunteer and says there's plenty of room for you.
"Come out and help us. We need the help for the little kids and all to make the Christmas nice and merryfull this year," said Crowdy.
