Hometown Band Headlines Baltimore's New Year's Eve Spectacular

BALTIMORE (WJZ) --The stage is set to ring in 2016 at the Inner Harbor.

WJZ's Mary Bubala gets a sneak peek ahead of tonight's New Year's Eve performance.

A big part of the New Year's Eve spectacular at the Inner Harbor is the sight of the fireworks and the sound of the band.

Thousands will ring in 2016 with live music from the Inner Harbor Amphitheater -- and this year the band "Heads Up" will be rocking in the new year in Baltimore.

"We are fun, energetic,' said band mate George Molyneax. " We like to get the crowd involved. They have to sing with us -- a lot of crowd interaction."

"Heads Up" may sound familiar.

For the last four football seasons, "Heads Up" has been the official band of The Baltimore Ravens Walk.

They hail from Baltimore and Harford counties and are compromised of musicians who are veterans of local, regional and national touring acts.

"Since we all love playing around here -- Baltimore -- just to do it on New Year's with our friends and family and the crowd, we are excited," Molyneax said.

And so is Baltimore as "Heads Up" helps us say hello to 2016.

"Heads Up" plays a mix of music like Maroon 5, The Eagles, Prince, Billy Joel and hundreds of other artists.
