Del. Mom Charged In Son's Death Has Nurses License Suspended

EDGEWOOD, Md. (AP) -- A nurse charged in the death of her 3-month-old son in Maryland has had her nursing license suspended in Delaware.

The News Journal of Wilmington reports that 26-year-old Aja Terry had her nursing license temporarily suspended as of Dec. 31. The order granting the suspension says she was employed at a psychiatric and addiction treatment facility in Delaware and that the crimes she is charged with are "substantially related to the practice of nursing."

The Harford County Sheriff's Office had previously reported that on Dec. 16, paramedics were called to Terry's home for a report of a child in cardiac arrest. The infant, Aaman Perez, was later pronounced dead at a hospital. A medical examiner said that the infant died from head trauma and ruled the death a homicide.
