
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — A man who has been charged with killing two college students in Virginia is set to appear in court.
A pretrial hearing for Jesse LeRoy Matthew Jr. is expected to be held on Monday.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
Matthew also faces first-degree murder charges in the 2009 death of 20-year-old Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington.

At a hearing last month, a judge approved the hiring of a mental health expert to examine Matthew before his trial.
