105.7 The Fan Personalities Share Super Bowl Predictions

Here are the Super Bowl 50 predictions from some of our 105.7 The Fan personalities:

Steve Davis: I'm predicting the Panthers. They look like the total package.  Denver's defense is great, but so was Seattle's and Arizona's and the Panthers led those teams by a combined 55-7 after the first half.  While I would love to see Peyton go out a winner, I don't see it happening. Panthers 27-Broncos 13.

Scott Garceau: We've got the top seeds from the AFC and NFC so there's no Cinderella at this Super 50 dance. The young (and odds on MVP of the season) Cam Newton against the cagey old man, Peyton Manning, in likely his final rodeo. Denver's defense is the best in the NFL and they pummeled Tom Brady to win the AFC Title, if they can get the same kind of pressure on Newton they win.

From here I think the Carolina defense is closer to the Denver defense than the Denver offense is to the Carolina offense. I don't think Denver will have much success running the ball so how much juice can Manning get in the passing game, not enough in my opinion to out score the Panthers. If Carolina starts fast like they did in playoff wins against Seattle and Arizona the Broncos are in trouble, this version of Peyton Manning isn't built to play from behind.  Cam Newton is at the top of his game and full of confidence and I'm guessing the regular season MVP will be the Super Bowl MVP. Color it Carolina Panther Blue, 27-20 Panthers.

Jeremy Conn: I'm picking Denver to win this game and I already know I'm gonna here a lot of people saying I'm only doing that because of Peyton Manning.

I heard that last week when i picked them to beat New England.  My Favorite color is green. When i pick a game winner, that's what i actually believe will happen. I always pick with my head and not my heart.

This will be a low scoring game in my opinion. For the Panthers to be successful on offense, Cam will have to make some plays with his feet. I do believe that Denver gets an early lead and holds on to win 20-17. You can read more of Jeremy's prediction here.

Bob Haynie: I know Denver QB Peyton Manning is the sentimental favorite for a lot people heading into Super Bowl 50. Given the fact that this could be his last game for the Broncos and as an NFL player, I can certainly understand that.

However, I like the Carolina Panthers and their QB Cam Newton to win the game. Both teams have strong defenses and are well coached. Ron Rivera has done a fine job with the Panthers and former Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak has been a hit with the Broncos. I see Newton and the Carolina offense been versatile enough to put points on the board against Denver's defense. This will force Manning to play from behind and throw more than he'd like.

The Panthers have been the best team in the NFL this season. They will officially be crowned as such in Super Bowl 50. Panthers 34 - Broncos 17.
