Keith Cavanaugh is the publisher of the Terrapin Times.
Keith joined Ken and Steve to talk about Maryland’s football recruiting class and the basketball teams win over Nebraska.
Keith started off by talking about what he thinks of the class overall and the job DJ Durkin did in recruiting saying “the class is ranked 50th according to scout.com…all things considered he had 2 months to scramble and he totally deconstructed and reconstructed this class.” As for where the recruits are coming from Keith said “they closed strong, and they spread out their recruiting reach…you can tell they’re going to go into the deep south, Durkin even called Florida his second home.”
When putting this Terps class up against other Big Ten classes Keith said “ranked anywhere between 8th and 10th in the league…they flipped a former Michigan recruit in Atwaine Richardson a corner, and they flipped a former Florida recruit in Tyrek Tisdale he’ll play safety here.”
Keith also talked about a quarterback prospect the Terps got from Alabama in Ty Pigrome, Keith said “they got the Gatorade player of the year in Alabama in Tyrell Pigrome…I think he’ll do really well, he’s an electric athlete.”
Finally Keith talked about the Terps basketball team’s win in Nebraska last night and possible depth problems for the NCAA Tournament.
