I give Mark Turgeon credit for suspending Diamond Stone.

I have been very impressed with Diamond’s maturity this year, but pushing Vitto Brown’s head against the floor was bush-league. It doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy or a dirty player; it just means that in that instant, he did the wrong thing.  He’s a young guy and that stuff happens all the time. It’s hardly the end of the world, but he might as well learn now.  Would they have suspended him if it was a better team than Minnesota, which is 0-13 in the Big Ten and is awful? I don’t know, and, selfishly, I hope not.

If they were playing at Michigan State or Purdue, as a fan, I probably wouldn’t want them to suspend him. However, they don’t need Diamond to beat Minnesota, at least they better not, so this is the right time to let him know he crossed the line a tad.
