Jimmy's Seafood Holding 'Crab Cakes For Life' Contest

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- March Madness is here, and you have a chance to win crab cakes for life.

Jessica Kartalija reports let's just say that basketball bracket better be perfect.

You have a better chance of being killed by a vending machine or becoming a saint, but if you think you can fill out a perfect bracket, you could be eating crab cakes for life.

"Every day you want to come in here and get a crab cake, we will put the best crab cake in the world on the plate in front of you," said John Minadakis, Jimmy's Famous Seafood.

Jimmy's Famous Seafood in Dundalk is holding the contest.

"It's happened before, I'm sure it will happen again, so why not get some crab cakes out of it?" said Minadakis.

The odds of actually winning crab cakes for life? They're just 1 in 9.2 quintillion.

Crab cakes for life may be tough, but the person with the best bracket wins a crab feast for 20.

Second place wins a happy hour for 15 of your friends at Jimmy's, third place wins four tickets to see the Orioles, plus several other prizes.

"Somebody's going to win tickets to our draft party and hang out with Steve Smith, somebody's going to win Orioles tickets, there's going to be winners. At the end of the day, nobody's really a loser," said Minadakis.

While you have a better chance of becoming the next president, it's worth a shot. If nothing else, it's great for business.

"If you can get somebody in here one time, nine times out of ten, they're going to become regulars, they're going to be part of the family and they're going to feel what makes this place so special," Minadakis said.

You could call that the icing on the crab cake.
