Help Jeremy Conn With The Bike MS Chesapeake Challenge

As many of you know, my wife has Multiple Sclerosis and every year we try to raise as much money as we can to fight the disease. Also which actually may be more important, to help raise awareness.  I know it may sound silly but I have had a ton of people that have reached out to me and my wife to ask questions.  The uncertainty you go through when you first find out and then trying to find a way to be positive and push through all the bad times.

The medicine is getting better every year because of everyone that donates and helps out. My wife was diagnosed over 2 years ago and in just that short period of time the medicine has changed. She used to have to take an injection every day and now it's down to 3 times a week.  The injections are painful and leave bee-sting like welts but it's better than the alternative.

I'm so proud of my wife. She hates asking for any type of help, but she knows how important this fundraiser is to helping the MS Society.  I wish I could trade places with her, but I can't. The one thing I can use is the platform that I have to get the word out and hopefully inspire other people to get involved.

Below is my wife's email that she sends out to family and friends that have donated in the past.  She is the love of my life and continues to surprise me every day with her strength. She is a lot tougher than even she realizes.  Thanks for taking the time to read and share this.

Jeremy Conn

Dear Friends and Family,

I am very excited and proud to say that I am participating in Bike MS: Chesapeake Challenge 2016, a 2-day bike ride, held on June 4-5 in Easton, MD. I find it hard asking for donations, as I guess many do, but this is a cause that is very important and personal for me. I am asking you to join the movement by making a contribution to support my efforts in the fight to create a world free of MS.

Believe it or not, pedaling a bike could be the answer to a world free of MS. Mile by mile, dollar by dollar, Bike MS provides much needed funding not only to research, but to ensuring people affected by MS can live their best lives.   I'd really appreciate your support in my fundraising efforts.  Your tax-deductible contribution will help the National MS Society fund groundbreaking research and life-changing programs for people living with MS. And ultimately, end MS forever.

As many of you know, this movement is personal for me. It has been over 2 years since I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I can honestly say, a lot has changed since then. I wasn't exactly sure what I was thinking when I signed up for the bike ride 2 years ago. I've never been particularly into cycling, and I didn't feel quite ready to talk about my diagnosis, much less fundraiser for the cause. But when I saw the video on the Bike MS website I was inspired to get involved. The experience has been incredible; there are so many amazing people that are so passionate about the cause.  The memories I have made over the past two years have been priceless, and the ride has become a highlight of my summer!  I continue to feel good and I am ready to challenge myself, yet again, with this bike ride. I know this will be another extraordinary experience, and I am so excited to be a part of it. Please help by making a donation or joining my team.

Join me, and together we can create a world free of MS. Thank you so much for your continued love and support. It truly means the world to me!  I will keep you posted on my progress.

Sincerely,

Katie Conn
