Steve Melewski covers the Orioles for MASN Sports and joined Ed and Steve to talk about the Orioles loss to the Rays and roster moves that have been made.

Melewski started by talking about Kevin Gausman’s return to the line-up and how he looked saying, “high 90’s, he looked really good…the breaking ball is his third pitch that he hasn’t consistently thrown but last night was the best I’ve ever seen from him and I think Buck said so too.”

When asked about Adam Jones and whether or not the Orioles should sit him to let him heal up Melewski said, “those things are tricky and you have to get him completely healthy.”

Melewski also talked about Brian Matusz and his struggles during his return to the line-up saying, “he hasn’t looked very sharp or crisp yet…left handed relief you only have him and T.J. so they need to get locked in there.”

Steve also talked about the Hyun Soo Kim situation and whether the Orioles will be able to talk him in to going to Triple A eventually or what options they have for the future.
