Jeremy Conn: Orioles Could Take Lead With A Yankees Loss

The series between the Yankees and the Orioles starts tonight if the rain stays away. The Yankees are in dead last in the American League East. They sit at 8-15 and were just swept by the Red Sox.  The Orioles are a half game out of first and they are coming off of a series split with the White Sox. The Orioles have the best record at home of any team in the American League. It's time to put the Yankees away and keep them in the cellar of this division.

The Yankees are struggling in all facets of the game.  The pitching has been sub-par at best and the hitting has been even more dreadful.  Also, the guys they are used to relying on have not stepped up at all.  Betances has blown a few games this year for the Yankees.  They will get Aroldis Chapman back soon, but that does you no good if you can't get the lead to him.

I'm not telling you the Orioles should sweep the Yankees, but you do have to win the series.  It starts tonight with Tillman and let's hope the bats wake up and give us fans the Yankee Spankey that we desire.
