Mike Bordick Is Excited About Gausman And Kim
Mike Bordick of MASN joined Scott and Jeremy to talk Orioles today. Bordick is very optimistic about this team, and he can't wait for what the future holds.
When asked about how Kevin Gausman has been performing, Bordick said: "He looks great here to start. He is a guy who has learned so much from his experiences and when he starts settling into the five man rotation, the sky is the limit for this kid."
We have been watching to see how the left side of the infield has been holding up without shortstop J.J. Hardy, and so far, so good. Bordick said that Manny Machado, Hardy's fill in, looks good, but not as good as he usually does when he mans third base. "To me, he doesn't look as clean to me at short as he does at third, but that might be because he is just such a good third baseman," said Bordick.
When asked about Hyun-Soo Kim, Bordick said that the way he has performing has been great for him, and he now has a "confident bat." He is finally starting to figure out how to make the right adjustments. Bordick likes the way Buck Showalter has been utilizing Kim, and is excited to see how he progresses throughout the rest of the year.
